This Lia’s flying project was started from a unilateral promise to my friend 3 years ago, that I will be at the opening ceremony of Paris Olympic Game 2024.
I made the promise but I didn’t know how to fulfil it. I was living on the other side of the earth and working as a freelancer without a certain income source that time.
So I gathered everything I had to make a plan. “It is time to start my own business”, this sentence came to me soon, it was the idea that haunted me for ages, it will give me control on my own time and money, and what’s more, freedom to create.
Things are easier after making a hard decision. You found your business partner with same interests, and picked an industry that is booming, and a script to develop into a game.
It turns out that other project is way too much bigger than I thought. Me and my business partner literally want everything perfect. It seemed it will not bring me to Paris on time cause we can’t finish the overture even at this point in time when I am writing this post.
So I started this project myself after I finished my part of work. It’s a small project without too much scripting or designing or coding, but I want its core to be “bringing me and my players peace of mind”. It’s what I felt from the original dream that Lia’s flying based on.
During these 3 years, I learned french and watched french movie and did everything to get closer to the culture. Now I suddenly realised some days ago that my new game wants the same relaxation as the french people does.
Maybe I was touching France at that moment.
Things are changing everyday, the Paris olympic ceremony will not be for public anymore because of security reason, I applied the artist talent pass visa a month ago but received a refusal after two weeks. I added some more documents to appeal against the refusal. Or maybe I should go directly to the ambassador.
I don’t know how to fulfil my promise even at this moment, but there should always be a way to and I have the ability to find out.
